Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh, (Oil on Canvas, 1889) was painted when he was in the Asylum at Saint-Remy in 1889. There are different aspects when it comes to this painting talking about how the town, sky, clouds, ect. But Vincent in his younger years wanted to dedicate his life to evangelization of those in poverty. This painting is the post of impressionist landscape painting.I choose this because for one it's my most favorite painting by Van Gogh. Another reason why is I love it for the colors & the motions of the sky. The swirls that I think really dignified the painting because it's pretty intense.
